The School of Law, Bahra University, proudly participated in a prestigious Workshop and Consultative Session organized to review the Himachal Pradesh State Commission for Women Act, 1996 and the Himachal Pradesh Panchayati Raj Act, 1994. The event was held on 8–9 June 2026 at Bachat Bhawan, DC Office Complex, Shimla.
Representing Bahra University, the faculty delegation included Dr. Mandeep Verma (Head, School of Law), Dr. Aditi Didwal (Associate Professor), and Dr. Deepshikha Sharma (Assistant Professor). The team actively contributed legal insights and policy recommendations aimed at strengthening legislative frameworks related to women’s rights, gender justice, and political representation in Himachal Pradesh.
The participation of the School of Law, Bahra University highlighted the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, legal research, and meaningful engagement in public policy discussions. The faculty members’ contributions enriched deliberations on key legal and governance issues, supporting efforts to create a more inclusive and equitable framework for women across the state.
